CFL Betting Odds ‘N Ends: Week 4

CFL Betting Odds ‘N Ends: Week 4

Based on the Monday night lines from DraftKings sportsbook, I have my work cut out for me to keep a pretty nice early record intact for Odds ‘N Ends week four.

Lions @ Redblacks

BC is giving Ottawa 4.5. The over/under is 47. All -110. The money line has the favourite -190 and the underdog +160.

In both Redblacks games against Winnipeg, I played the over. I have four losses this season and those two are in that lot. I’m hesitant to do so, but I’m going with the over again. If Ottawa wins, they outscore BC in a wild one. That’s my guess.

If BC wins, they overcome what looks to be a stout defence from the Redblacks. Burnham’s out, and other guys are banged up.

I’m not really comfortable with this one, but if I’m going to play by my own rules of putting a play on every game, I’m going “over” here.

Tiger-Cats @ Elks

Every week I say “the Elks are gonna get better.” And, they have. But, I still have been betting their opponents to cover. Last week, a late-game Edmonton field goal cost me my only loss of the four-game set.

I’m taking Edmonton +6.5 at Hamilton. The o/u was at 46.5 & Hamilton was -265 while the Elks are +225 on the money line.

That last number is tempting, but I’m staying somewhat conservative. Edmonton +6.5 (-110).

Alouettes @ Roughriders

This time it’s out west. Riders are -4.5 at home. O/u is 46. All -110. That under is tempting. The fact that the Als not only won but ran away with it has me a bit nervous here.

Montreal is +160 on the money line. Saskatchewan is -190. Call me cowardly, I’m staying conservative and going with the Green on the money line.

I’m also going to make this one the Play of the Week. Coming into week four we sit 3-0 with the POW so I’m hopeful the Riders get their revenge.

Bombers @ Argonauts

Over/under is 42.5. (-110).  I just don’t know what to do with that because Winnipeg might score 15+ on defence. Bombers -195 on the money line. Too small a payout. Argos +165.

Winnipeg -4.5 (-110). Deep breath. Going with the two-time defending champs to cover. Nervous that Andrew Harris shows up big against his old squad but too much talent in the “W” to go against them

As always, sometimes I make plays that I don’t include here. And, if you play, be responsible for it.
