Assiniboia Downs (ASD) has another seven-race card scheduled for Tuesday (June 25) evening and it kicks off at 7:35 p.m. CDT. The Jackpot Pick 5 wager starts in the third race and runs through to the end of the card while the $1 Pick 4 with a $50,000 guaranteed pool starts in the fourth race. The final two races will both feature a $1 Classic Hi-5 wager as well.

The final race of the night is the only that is a mile distance and goes for a purse of $16,500. One race prior is the 64th running of the Free Press Stakes. Its open to horse three-years and older that are non-winners of $14,400. Its one of five races on the night is 6 furlongs in distance. A full field of 10 are set to go to battle for the $50,000 purse.
Longshot Watch
Big Nick is still looking for his first win of the year but could very well get it in the Free Press Stakes (race 6). The six-year-old gelding has six wins in 42 career starts and earned three of them last year. He has been finding ways to finish in the top three and usually earns a cheque at the end of the day. He was racing at longer distances last year so the 6 furlong pace should be right in his wheel house. Antonio Whitehall will team up with the Lisa Pruitt- trained Big Nick.
Best Bet
No Show No Call has been racing well enough to earn a single spot on my Pick 5 wager for race four. The three-year-old gelding. In three starts this year, has a win and second place finish. His only blemish was his eighth place effort at Tampa Bay Downs to start his year. Since moving to ASD he has been a tough one to beat. Ronald Ali will look to get another winning drive for trainer Mike Taphorn.
