Assiniboia Downs (ASD) has another seven-race card scheduled for Tuesday (July 2) evening and it kicks off at 7:35 p.m. CDT. The Jackpot Pick 5 wager starts in the third race and runs through to the end of the card while the $1 Pick 4 with a $50,000 guaranteed pool starts in the fourth race. The final two races will both feature a $1 Classic Hi-5 wager as well.

Longshot Watch
Private Frank has the second-best morning line odds in race five at 7/2. It’s not a huge upset but he is the highest odds of any of my top choices. The four-year-old gelding is coming off back-to-back sixth-place finishes but those were at greater distances. Just prior, Private Frank was racing and winning in races 5 ½ to 7 furlongs. The race on Wednesday night is set for 6 furlongs which should be right in his wheelhouse. He started the year with four straight wins but has not had luck with the longer distances. Tom Gardipy Jr. trains the gelding and Antonio Whitehall will ride for the first time this year.
Best Bet
The best bet of the night is the heavy 3/5 favourite in race two, Lady Cop. The four-year-old filly has yet to win in her three starts this year but has been heavily bet on in her last two races. However, she had a good 2023 with six finishes in the top three over eight starts. She also won twice last year, and both were at similar distances of race. She has shown she can handle the 6-furlong distance well and it primed to get her first win of the year. Michael Nault trains the filly and Prayven Badrie will climb aboard once again.
