Assiniboia Downs (ASD) has another seven-race card scheduled for Wednesday (July 8) evening and it kicks off at 7:35 p.m. CDT. The Jackpot Pick 5 wager starts in the third race and runs through to the end of the card while the $1 Pick 4 with a $50,000 guaranteed pool starts in the fourth race. The final two races will both feature a $1 Classic Hi-5 wager as well.

Longshot Watch
At 6/1 morning line odds, Annakhozana is looking for her first win of 2024 in the seventh race of the night. I had her as my longshot to watch during the July 1st card but her race was canceled due to weather. Now with an extra week off I like her chances even more. She has shown she likes the longer distance races and Monday’s race is set for 7 1/2 furlongs. Trainer Shelley Brown has four wins so far this meet and could add another one in upset fashion. Antonio Whitehall sits fourth in wins among jockeys at ASD and has spent plenty of time riding Annakhozana.
