Well, it’s another long week, so to make a single and complete Fantasy preview is hard because we are several days away from depth charts for nearly all games but here’s an early look at my thoughts for games starting Wednesday and running through Thanksgiving.
Total CFL Pick ‘Em
I think we’ve come to the point in the season where Ottawa has its win streak and the Riders reassert themselves. I’ve got the Redblacks winning twice this week, the Riders over the Stamps in the rematch and Winnipeg continuing its winning ways. Finally, I like the Ticats, at home, over the Boatmen.
CFL Fantasy
QB Caleb Evans, RB Timothy Flanders, RB Ka’Deem Carey, WR Steven Dunbar, WR Shai Ross, FLEX Nic Demski, Defence Montreal.
Draftkings Showdown Mode
My 3-player base includes Caleb Evans, Timothy Flanders, and the Redbalcks DST.
I’m thinking I will go four-deep with Ottawa and that leaves me a choice between DeVonte Dedmon or Kenny Stafford. At some point, I’m thinking Kenny has the game we know he is capable of having.
I’m going to also go with the Argos starter at QB or, if I get convinced weather or other considerations may make this a defensive battle, I may take the Argos DST instead of their QB starter, or in place of a Redblacks position player.
Draftkings Classic Mode (4-game starts Friday)
QB. I’m taking the guy from Winnipeg, I’m just not sure which guy. Zach Collaros is the conservative play but plenty of cap space can be gained by taking Sean McGuire. Do I think McGuire can get at least one of those one-yard sneak majors?
RB. Andrew Harris, WR Jake Wieneke, WR Kian Schaffer-Baker, Flex DeVonte Dedmon.
My final Flex is probably William Stanback or William Powell but Bralon Addison is still a consideration. If I’m convinced the Riders win big, it’s Powell. But, I’m still researching that.
DST will likely be the Riders, but if I keep the salaries low enough with McGuire and/or Addison, I may spend more here and play the Bombers DST.
Sometimes I do make plays and play lineups that are not those I recommend here. Again, especially on these long weeks, be sure to check depth charts. Have fun! Enjoy your Thanksgiving week football Canada.
