DraftKings has two Saturday-only plays available today, the two-game Classic Mode and the Showdown, featuring the game between Saskatchewan and Montreal.
Since it’s a short-slate I will make this a short piece, while giving readers a couple options for each play.
In the Classic mode I’m leaning toward taking McLeod Bethel-Thompson, who should have a new found confidence after the Argos made him their clear QB1 for the future. My other QB option for this mode is Matthew Shiltz, who continues to battle to remain the Als number one, ahead of Trevor Harris, while Vernon Adams, Jr. heals from injury.
At the RB position I have BC’s James Butler as a value pick and William Stanback as my top pick. One of these would make a good Flex1 option as well.
At the WR1&2 positions I have the returning Lucky Whitehead, who hopes to help right the Lions offence from its woes, and Jake Wieneke. I expect a strong bounce back from Jake after last week’s performance.
At the FLEX2 I’m picking a Riders WR, either Duke Williams, coming off a decent return to the CFL last week, or Brayden Lenius, who put up a major in the new-look Rider offence last week and has the size reminiscent of old-time CFL Tight Ends who can dominate when given the targets.
My DST is the Riders, who continue to put up impressive numbers.
In the Showdown mode I am basically looking at the same players. This mode is a five-position lineup so I’m looking at three or four out of these six. Shiltz, Stanback, Williams, Wieneke, Lenius and the Riders DST.
Then, I’m looking at adding in Cody Fajardo and/or the Alouettes DST, who also are putting up good numbers.
Enjoy your CFL Saturday!
