For the fourth and final time this Canadian Premier League season , Forge FC and Cavalry FC renew their rivalry at Tim Hortons Field on Saturday which is also the 150th match for head coach, Bobby Symrniotis.

The rivalry between the two clubs dates back to the inaugural CPL season back in 2019 where Cavalry took a 2-1 win against Forge. However, when these two teams met in the inaugural final, it was Forge who would get the last laugh as they went on to win 2-0 on aggregate and taking home their first of three Canadian Premier League titles.

Forge have won 10 of the 21 meetings between the two clubs since the 2019 season while Cavalry have only won 6 of their encounters and the two sides have drawn in 5 meetings.

However, Cavalry are on a 3-game unbeaten streak with their last loss coming back on August 11th at IG Field against Valour FC. Cavalry have also won 4 of their last 5 matches which includes a 3-0 win on August 4th against Forge.

Meanwhile for Forge FC, there coming off of a 3-0 win against Vancouver FC last Saturday with Woobens Pacius scoring his second career hat trick in that match and want to start a hot streak of their own.

The two clubs are separated by just 4 points in the Canadian Premier League Table, but with the table so tight, both teams will want to walk out of Saturday’s match with all three points!
