13th Man Sports Adding an eSports Team

13th Man Sports is expanding, adding an eSports team for iRacing.

The team, 13th Man Racing, will compete in iRacing special events, IMSA Endurance events, and various other events along the way. To begin, the team will be comprised of two drivers; 13th Man Sports owner Frankie Benvenuti will double as team owner and driver, while Nicholas Seigler will act as team principal and driver. The team intends to add more drivers to the roster before the iRacing Sebring 12.

With some exceptions, 13th Man Racing will participate in the IMSA Endurance series on a bi-weekly basis with the first event being this weekend. The race will take place at the Detroit Grand Prix circuit at Belle Isle.

The car of choice will be the BMW M4 GT3, the car that both drivers are the most comfortable with. The majority of races the team competes in will see a field filled with other GT3 cars as well as LMP2. Occasionally, competition could see GT4 cars or Touring Cars on the same grid.

More news is to follow including a logo and livery unveiling.
